Reception
Reception is a vital and exciting start to your child’s learning journey at Queensgate Foundation Primary School. In this first year of school, children learn through a mix of play, exploration, and structured activities designed to build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Our Early Years team creates a nurturing, stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Curriculum Letter for families
In Reception, we provide a nurturing and engaging environment where children begin their school journey with curiosity and confidence. Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and focuses on seven key areas of learning, including communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.
