Year 5
Year 5 is an rewarding and important stage in your child’s education as they continue to develop greater independence, resilience, and critical thinking skills. This year builds on their prior learning, encouraging deeper understanding across all subjects and preparing them for the challenges of Year 6.
Our curriculum offers engaging topics and opportunities for creativity, investigation, and collaboration across English, maths, science, history, geography, and more. We focus on nurturing confident learners who are curious, motivated, and ready to take ownership of their learning journey.
Topic Overview
In Year 5, children explore a wide range of stimulating topics that encourage deeper thinking and creativity. These include themes such as Ancient Civilizations, Forces and Materials, Habitats, and Earth and Space. Through hands-on activities, investigations, and cross-curricular projects, pupils develop their knowledge and skills across subjects like science, history, geography, and literacy, making learning engaging and meaningful.
